Todays thought :

Lent verses Lint
Lent is a solemn religious observance in the Christian liturgical calendar that begins on Ash Wednesday and ends approximately six weeks later the night before Easter.
Not to be confused with “Lint” the type that comes from your clothes dryer. So what do both terms have in common? They both are kind of fuzzy on people. Many don’t know what this Lent season in the church represents.   This time frame of 40 weekdays of Lent is for the purpose of preparation. A time of preparation through prayer, mortifying the flesh, repentance of sins, almsgiving, and self-denial in expectation of celebration of the resurrection of our Lord.
Though not mentioned in the Bible, this inference of 40 days has become a time to remember how fleeting life is and focus on the magnitude of Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection.
As we begin our Lenten season we are to remember that while we were yet sinners Christ died once for all. To those who believe, He gave the power to become the Sons of God. Amen
Blessing to all as we walk this walk together
